 Level II Hospitals 

In addition to treating healthy pregnant women and newborns, Level II hospitals provide care for pregnant women with some medical conditions or complications that arise after 32 weeks gestation.

These hospitals provide care for babies greater than or equal to 32 weeks gestation or whose weight is greater than or equal to 1500 grams (3 lbs, 5 ozs). These babies may have mild to moderate respiratory problems, infection or low blood glucose levels.
