Central Institute for the Deaf
The Central Institute for the Deaf is a school in association with Washington University in St. Louis. It is a school for children who are deaf and/or hearing impaired. It provides excellence in clinical audiology, deaf education, and speech and hearing sciences research.
CID is a school where children who are deaf and hard of hearing learn to listen, talk and read without using sign language. They prepare children to participate and succeed in their neighborhood schools. Generous private support makes it affordable for all. They serve children from birth to age 12.
It is “a school where deaf children learn to talk, read, and succeed.”
