 Children's Advocacy Project  

The mission of The Children’s Advocacy Project (CAP) is to help bridge the gap between the many quality social service agencies in the St. Louis area and the families that need their help the most.  To bridge this gap, their aim is to empower and to inform those that care for the children of St. Louis through their web site.  The CAP will assist families, health care professionals, and social service providers by furnishing the tools necessary to connect families in need to the appropriate social service agencies that serve them.


They offer services and information such as:

After school programs: like Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Boys and Girls Club

Child Abuse hotline numbers

Child Care: Child Day Care Association, the Children’s Home

Domestic Violence: Safe Connections, the Women’s Safe House

Early Intervention Services: Parents as Teachers, Delta Gamma

Education:  Information on Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and Educational Opportunity Center

Employment: America’s Jobbank, Cornerstone Partnership

Food and Nutrition: Breastfeeding help and Food bank information

Health Insurance: Medical and dental

Housing: Housing resource center

Immigration and Refugee services: International Institute

Legal Services: Legal services of Eastern MO

Literacy: St Louis Public Library

Mental Health:  Counseling services

Parenting Resources: Parents as Teachers

Pregnancy Resources: WIC
