	Dr. Schowengerdt is the Medical Director of the Dorothy and Larry Dallas Heart Center at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center. He is also a Professor of Cardiology at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Special interests include: - Cardiac transplantation - Cardiomyopathy and treatment of heart failure - Role of inflammatory factors in the pathogenesis of cardiac allograft vasculopathy Dr. Schowengerdt was selected for St. Louis Magazine's "Best Doctors" in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 and is listed in "Best Doctors in America".
